A man finding out if his Side Hustle Is Worth the Hassle
Image by Andrew Leinster from Pixabay

One in three Americans has a side hustle, but only a meager six percent are doing serious business (earning four figures).

Side hustles are glamorous, lucrative, and intoxicating. Side hustles are beautiful — or not.

Side hustling for over two years, I have seen the best and worst of this new 21st-century gig. After some setbacks and failures, it turned out to be really well for me, but I have learned one thing for sure — it’s not a money-making machine or quick-rich formula.

I see my friends posting on social media how they work assiduously to make their side…

If you realize how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.

Thoughts Can Change Reality

If you’re a science fiction movies fan like me, you’ll be no stranger to aliens from other worlds who can move objects around without touching, change forms like a chameleon and imprison their enemies into invisible chains of light energy.

How cool and fascinating it is to watch and imagine!

If you think such amazing things happen only in comic books or movies, it might intrigue you to know that Matthew Manning, a spiritual healer, once turned on an electric light, moved his home furniture around, etc., using his power of the mind.

Though this is trivial, what’s this power…

If applied, they can change your perception of yourself and the world forever.

3 Buddha Principles On Living a Fulfilled Life
Image by Marjon Besteman from Pixabay

I love reading quotes, especially the ones from ancient philosophers. They’re mystical and cryptic. Quotes from people who lived hundreds or thousands of years ago have a thought-provoking sense to them.

Most ancient quotes might look bland and simple at first sight, but once you start reflecting on them, you realize how profound and inspiring they are.

It intrigues me how the ancient philosophers were aware of the core principles of life and fulfillment. Yet, we often fail to understand them and apply them in our lives.

Gautam Buddha is probably one of the most influential figures of all time…

Here’s how men justify these lies as defense mechanisms.

3 Things Men Lie About in Relationships Without Feeling Guilty

Jacob and Lily were picking up their wedding outfits and needed a second opinion. Since I hadn’t gone shopping since last year’s pandemic, I agreed to their invitation.

The search for the perfect dress began! Every time Lily tried a wedding gown, Jacob said, “Wow! This dress looks perfect on you. You look like an angel.” Finally, after five hours and nine stores, I couldn’t hold my thought and blurted out, “Dude! How much will you lie? If I can make out, she surely can.”

He instantly replied, “She knows I am lying but will never confront.”

“What do you…

#1. You have successfully survived the “I am in love” phase.

“I am getting married,” said Jay (my childhood buddy), calling me at 2:00 am. I thought I was dreaming because I didn’t know Jay was dating or seeing someone.

“Who, when, why, where” — I had many questions in my mind as I was only half awake, but I congratulated him and asked him to meet the next day.

When I saw him the following day, he looked like a different person. His face was glowing like the sun, and he was continuously blushing during the entire conversation.

“How did you know you’re ready to get hitched?” I asked. As…

There are more ways to fail than succeed at meditation.

Before I begin, close your eyes. Make your mind blank. Enter into a thoughtless state. Hold on for twenty seconds, and then open your eyes.

Did it work?
Were you able to stop thinking?
Did you enter into a “thoughtlessness” state?

Perhaps, no!

A blank mind is a meditation myth most of us have. Not being able to achieve that makes us want to give up whatever meditative practices we follow. On the contrary, the mind behaves erratically. It becomes more chaotic and restless.

I also wasted a significant part of my spiritual journey trying to kill my thoughts. Result?

“Failure at some point in your life is inevitable, but giving up is unforgivable.”~ Joe Biden

Side hustles are exhausting.

I can tell you from my experience. Every day, I want to give up on myself. Not seeing desired results and returns from my side-hustle makes me want to quit. I lose the vocation to follow writing passion daily. I often think if I should stick only to my 9–5 job.

I thought there’s something wrong with me being so negative about myself. But science said it’s normal.

The “pleasure principle” says our brains are wired to give up easily. The reason for it is “instant gratification.” …

Ignoring these relationship issues is the same as escalating them.

What’s often the topic of discussion between friends who’re committed or married?

I don’t know how and why, but most of my friends only talk about their relationship problems when we meet, and I become their dump box. I often become a “secret keeper” where unknown people come to me and continuously blabber about their relationship pain. I just had one yesterday while commuting in public transit.

Maybe I have that vibe of listening patiently. But, learning from others’ pain, I’ve realized that most relationship problems are common amongst everyone.

Whether you’re in a relationship or not, you know that…

Ignorance isn’t bliss when it comes to self-improvement.

A man understanding 3 Extremely Damaging Mindsets he thought were harmless

Mindset is the neural programming of the mind that shapes how you perceive the world and yourself. Your mindset influences the way you think, feel, and behave in any given situation.

Stanford psychologist Carol Dwek states that your beliefs play a significant role in fulfilling your desires, wants, and goals. He also found that mindset is the decisive factor in experiencing any positive emotion in life.

So, imagine living with the wrong mindsets. In a way, it’s not as harmful as considering the faulty mindsets beneficial. It’s like eating junk food. Consuming them in ignorance is not as dangerous as…
